Agropergamos is a fresh fruit trademark registered in 2012 by Karabudak Tarım Hayvancılık Sanayi Tic. A.Ş. The orchard is in Bergama, which is a popular agricultural area of the province of Izmir, engaged in export-oriented fresh fruit production areas. The brand was inspired by the name ‘Pergamon’ used in ancient Greek period for this region.
Karabudak Tarım Hayvancılık Sanayi Tic. A.Ş. was founded in 2011 by Mr. Metin Karabudak and Berce Gayrimenkul Tarım ve Yatırım Tic. A.Ş. in Ankara. The company conducts its head office operations in Ankara. The Company has a fruit orchard with mainly Cherry and Plum varieties on a 100 hectare area at the Çamtepe Village locality and an almond orchard on a 20 hectare area at the Kaleardı Caber locality of Bergama. Furthermore, “Şehsuvaroğlu Tarım”, which is an affiliate of the company, has a 130 hectare walnut orchard at the İmranlı-Ardıçalan Village locality of Sivas. At the same time, there is an almond orchard about 500 hectares the investment of which is ongoing, in Granada of Spain.
